A reception in Vienna dedicated to the 26th anniversary of the formation of the Armenian Armed Forces

30 January, 2018

On January 30, the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Armenia to the OSCE hosted a reception at the “Armenia” Center in Vienna on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of Armenia.

Heads of diplomatic and military missions accredited in the OSCE, military advisors, high-ranking military officers of the Austrian Armed Forces and Army Command, religious leaders of the Austrian-Armenian community and heads of organizations participated at the reception.

Ambassador Arman Kirakossian, Armenia's Permanent Representative to the OSCE, touched upon the irreplaceable mission of the Armenian Army in the establishment and consolidation of the Armenian state, noting that for nearly three decades the Armenian soldier and Armenian officer are the main guarantor of regional stability and peace in the region.
The Ambassador added that without consistent efforts of the Armenian authorities to implement the ongoing reforms aimed at the further enhancement of the Armenian army's combat readiness and its further development, it is not possible to provide stable and lasting peace and progress in the region.
