Ambassador Arman Kirakossian's working visit to the Republic of Croatia

On June 11-13, the Armenian Ambassador to Croatia (with residence in Vienna) Arman Kirakossian paid a working visit to Zagreb.

During his visit Ambassador held meetings with Mr. Dario Mihelin, Foreign and European Policy Adviser of the office of the President of Croatia, Ms. Silva Stipic Kobali, Deputy Director on International and EU Affairs of the Trade and Economic Chamber of Croatia, Mr. Vice Skracic, Assistant Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia, as well as had consultations with members of the Croatian Parliament.

During the meetings Ambassador Kirakossian reaffirmed Armenia's interest in deepening relations with Croatia. In this context, the sides discussed prospects of boosting the cooperation in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres. They touched upon the necessity of continuing political dialogue, reciprocal high-ranking visits and strengthening the Armenian-Croatian business ties, as well as possibilities of expanding Armenian-Croatian cooperation in international fora.

During the meeting with members of the Croatian Parliament Sabor, Armenian Ambassador informed that the provisional application of Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement signed between the EU and Armenia entered into force starting from June 1, and highlighted the need of ratification of the Agreement by all EU member states, particularly – by Sabor. The interlocutors touched upon the inter-parliamentary cooperation, the steps to strengthen the partnership in the multilateral parliamentary fora.
