Armenia’s History and Culture Presented at the United Nations Office in Vienna

16 October, 2025

On 16 October 2025, the spouses of the diplomats of the Permanent Mission of Armenia to the United Nations Office in Vienna organized an event dedicated to Armenia. It showcased the rich history, culture, and traditions of Armenia. A special emphasis was made to the 34th anniversary of the Independence of Armenia and the achievements that have been registered so far. The event was held within the framework of the United Nations Women’s Guild (UNWG) Vienna.

During the event, Armenia’s most significant historical and cultural landmarks, diverse landscapes, distinctive architecture, and vibrant arts and crafts were presented through a series of video clips. Guests were also introduced to the unique sounds of Armenian musical heritage through live performances.

Attendees had the opportunity to experience authentic Armenian cuisine and beverages, offering a taste of the country’s renowned culinary traditions.

Membership in the UN Women’s Guild Vienna includes women who are staff members or the spouses and partners of staff members of the United Nations organizations and Permanent Missions accredited to Vienna.

The event served as a meaningful platform to promote cultural understanding and strengthen friendship among members of the international community.
