Meeting of the Ambassador of Armenia with the Members of the Austria–Armenia Friendship Group of the Austrian Parliament

On December 11, Ambassador Andranik Hovhannisyan met with members of the Austria–Armenia Friendship Group of the Austrian Parliament.

Ambassador Hovhannisyan emphasized the importance of enhancing interparliamentary ties and expressed confidence that the Friendship Group will contribute to further deepening relations between Armenia and Austria, as well as advancing and expanding the bilateral agenda.

In this context, both sides underscored the importance of organizing reciprocal visits between the parliamentary friendship groups of the two countries.

Ambassador Hovhannisyan highly appreciated Austria’s support for the Armenia’s democratic reforms, as well as its contribution to strengthening of the Armenia–EU partnership.

Responding to the parliamentarians’ inquiries, Ambassador Hovhannisyan presented Armenia’s peace agenda, provided an update on efforts to unblock regional transportation routes, and elaborated on the “Crossroads of Peace” and “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” initiatives.

Ambassador Hovhannisyan also briefed the interlocutors on other priorities of Armenia’s foreign policy, presented highlights of Armenia-Austria bilateral ties, as well as the ongoing steps aimed at further promoting Armenia–EU cooperation.
