Distinguished Mr. President,

Distinguished members of the Bureau,

Honorable Dean Taseva,

Dear delegates,

At the outset, I would like to extend my greetings and present the anti-corruption efforts of the Republic of Armenia. The Government of Armenia has identified the fight against corruption as a national priority, reflected both in the Government’s program and in the Anti-Corruption Strategy and its 2023–2026 Action Plan. By 2023, Armenia finalized the establishment of a national anti-corruption institutional framework, ensuring an effective structure with preventive, investigative, and punitive functions operating in synergy.

Mr. President,

Armenia attaches particular importance to the development and implementation of a targeted policy on anti-corruption education and public information. The promotion of anti-corruption education and the enhancement of public awareness mechanisms constitute the third strategic objective of our Anti-Corruption Strategy.

We believe that sustainable and long-term results can be achieved only when anti-corruption education is accessible to the wider public throughout the country. To maximize its impact, priority is given to areas where the risks or consequences of corruption are most significant.

In this context, and within the framework of the Anti-Corruption Strategy and its 2023–2026 Action Plan, Armenia is introducing anti-corruption education across the entire learning system, from kindergartens to master’s degree programs. This includes integrating ethics and integrity into curricula, developing specialized academic programs, training educators, encouraging student engagement and research initiatives, as well as supporting opportunities for advanced studies, including abroad.

Mr. President,

A key challenge remains ensuring coordinated and unified implementation of anti-corruption education, while continuously improving its quality and effectiveness at all levels of the education system.

Armenia reiterates its firm commitment to addressing these challenges and to advancing comprehensive measures aimed at preventing and combating corruption.

I thank you.
