27 jun, 2025

On August 27 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Armenia Alloys Kraut (residency Vienna) on the occasion of presenting his credentials.

Congratulating the guest on the appointment, Minister Nalbandian expressed hope that during the Ambassador’s tenure the bilateral relations between Armenia and Austria would be further developed and strengthened.

Ambassador Kraut expressed gratitude for the reception and assured that he would do his utmost to strengthen the Armenian-Austrian relations, and to raise them to a qualitatively new level.

During the conversation, Minister Nalbandian mentioned that the official visit of Austrian President Heinz Fischer to Armenia paid in June and the agreements reached between the two Presidents give a new impulse to the strengthening of bilateral relations.

In the course of the meeting it was mentioned with satisfaction that the Austrian Development Agency included Armenia in the cooperation list of priority countries and a number of projects are scheduled to be implemented in the near future.
