Commemoration events dedicated to the 108th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Vienna

On April 24, a commemoration event dedicated to the 108th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide took place near the Franz Werfel monument in Vienna's Schiller Square.

The Lord's Prayer was delivered by Rev. Fr. Andreas Isakhanyan, pastor of the Armenian Apostolic Church Community of Austria.

H.E. Armen Papikyan, Ambassador of Armenia to Austria, Andreas Minnich, Chairman of the Friendship Group of the Austrian National Council with the South Caucasus, and the representative of the Armenian Apostolic Church Community of Austria delivered speeches. The event was attended by members of the Austrian Parliament, representatives of the Federal Ministry of European and International Affairs, and the Austrian Armenian community.

An informational event on the Armenian Genocide took place in Vienna's St. Stephen's Square, organized by the Armenian Student Union of Austria, on the same day.

On April 23, a commemoration ceremony dedicated to the memory of the canonized martyrs of the Armenian Genocide took place in the Saint Hripsime Armenian Apostolic Church in Vienna.

H.E. Armen Papikyan made a speech following the liturgy. Ambassador Papikyan laid a wreath at the monument commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
