"Komitas" International Conference held in Vienna

On October 7-8, the Komitas International Conference was held in Vienna, organized in cooperation with the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, the Komitas Museum-Institute of Yerevan, and the Art Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, under the honorary patronage of the Armenian Embassy in Austria.

H.E. Armen Papikyan, Ambassador of Armenia to Austria, delivered an opening speech, emphasizing the role of the already traditional Komitas International Conference-Festival in preserving and promoting the rich heritage of the founder of the Armenian classical music.

The conference, hosted at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, brought together musicologists from various countries who presented on different aspects of Komitas’ life and work.
