Meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan with John Brandolino, the Director for Treaty Affairs at the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)

On June 25, in Vienna, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan met with John Brandolino, the Director for Treaty Affairs at the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

During the meeting, the current state of cooperation between Armenia and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), as well as the possibilities for its further enhancement were discussed.

Regional developments were touched upon as well. The Deputy Foreign Minister presented the Government’s “Crossroads of Peace” initiative to his counterpart, highlighting it as a key to unblocking regional infrastructure and ensuring sustainable development.

Views were also exchanged on possible cooperation with the Office in the context of the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), to be hosted by Armenia in 2026.
