Armenia-Austria Economic Forum in Vienna

29 April, 2026

On April 29, the Armenia–Austria Business Forum was held at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in Vienna, bringing together representatives from the Ministries of Economy of Armenia and Austria, Enterprise Armenia, and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, as well as representatives from approximately a dozen Armenian companies and nearly forty Austrian companies, providing a dynamic platform for bilateral business engagement.

Presentations during the forum highlighted key sectors of Armenia’s economy, investment opportunities, high-potential areas for development, and the country’s tax framework.

Participants were also briefed on international rankings and reports by leading global agencies. Discussions covered major ongoing initiatives in Armenia, including the “Crossroads of Peace” and “TRIPP” programs, as well as infrastructure development, energy security, and trends in the expansion of Armenia–Austria bilateral trade.

Austrian companies shared their experience of operating in Armenia, while Armenian participants outlined opportunities for cooperation with Austrian partners across various sectors.

Ambassador of Armenia to Austria, Andranik Hovhannisyan, delivered remarks emphasizing the strong bilateral political ties between Armenia and Austria, shared historical and cultural connections and the growing partnership with the European Union. Building on this solid foundation, Ambassador Hovhannisyan presented an overview of Armenia–Austria economic relations and their development prospects. He underscored the importance of implementing the outcomes of the Intergovernmental Economic Commission meeting held in Vienna last year, noting that the organization of this forum was among its key achievements.

Following the opening session, participants engaged in B2B meetings, allowing them to exchange information about their activities and projects, explore potential partnerships, and address questions to keynote speakers and sector representatives.
