Participation of Permanent Representative of Armenia in Vienna Andranik Hovhannisyan in the Management Segment of the United Nations Economic and Social Council in New York

Permanent Representative of Armenia in Vienna Andranik Hovhannisyan, in his capacity as Chair of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs, participated in the Management Segment of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) held in New York on June 10-11.

Ambassador Hovhannisyan presented to UN Member States the outcomes of the 69th session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs, as well as ongoing discussions and current activities. He also participated as a keynote speaker in a panel discussion entitled “Enhancing the effectiveness and responsiveness of ECOSOC's subsidiary architecture for the final mile to the 2030 Agenda.” The panel discussion was moderated by the Permanent Representative of Armenia to the United Nations in New York and Vice-President of ECOSOC, Paruyr Hovhannisyan.

During his visit to New York, Ambassador Andranik Hovhannisyan held meetings with a number of stakeholders to discuss and coordinate the work of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs.
