Discussion with the Ambassador of Armenia at the University of Graz

On October 21, within the framwork of his visit to Graz, Austria, Ambassador Andranik Hovhannisyan held a discussion with faculty members, researchers and students at the Centre for East European Law and Eurasian Studies of the University of Graz.

Welcome remarks were delivered by Peter Riedler, Rector of the University of Graz, and Benedikt Harzl, Professor at the Centre for East European Law and Eurasian Studies.

Ambassador Hovhannisyan outlined Armenia’s foreign policy priorities in the context of geopolitical developments and the regional situation.

He also addressed the historical ties between Armenia and Austria and prospects for their further development, as well as the framework of Armenia–EU partnership and opportunities for its expansion.

Ambassador Hovhannisyan briefed the participants on the Armenian Government’s efforts to strengthen peace and stability in the region, unblock regional communications and expand opportunities for economic cooperation.

The discussion continued with a Q&A session.
