Concert dedicated to Armenia and the forcibly displaced people of Nagorno-Karabakh in Bratislava

02 November, 2023

The Luys Vocal Quintet performed concerts on October 31 in Nitra, November 1 in Trnava, and November 2 in Bratislava. This series of concerts was organized by the initiative of the Trnava self-governing region in support of Armenia and the forcibly displaced people of Nagorno-Karabakh.

H.E. Mr. Armen Papikyan, Ambassador of Armenia to Slovakia, delivered an opening speech at the concert held at the "Holy Family" Catholic Church in Bratislava.

In his speech, the ambassador expressed his gratitude to the organizers for supporting the Armenian people, showing compassion, and upholding universal values. "It is sad that in the 21st century, another massive crime against humanity was committed in before the eyes of the civilized world. After a nine-month illegal and inhumane blockade, Azerbaijan subjected Nagorno-Karabakh to ethnic cleansing through a large-scale aggression that began on September 19, forcibly displacing 120,000 Armenians from their centuries-old historical homeland," the Ambassador noted.

In his speech, the Ambassador also thanked the international partners for their willingness to extend humanitarian aid to the forcibly displaced people of Nagorno-Karabakh.
