Meeting of the Ambassador of Armenia with the Governor of the Federal State of Styria, Austria

On October 21, Ambassador Andranik Hovhannisyan had a meeting with Mario Kunasek, Governor of the Austrian federal state of Styria, in Graz.

During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on the robust relations between Armenia and Austria and underscored the role of decentralised cooperation in expanding bilateral ties. They discussed opportunities for establishing and further deepening of cooperation in a number of areas of mutual interest, including high technology, environmental protection, the circular economy, education, science and other fields.

The prospects for fostering ties between major companies operating in Styria and Armenia and facilitating business contacts were also discussed. In this context, Ambassador Hovhannisyan presented Armenia’s investment climate and existing potential, emphasising the importance of exchanging best practicies. He also addressed opportunities for exporting Armenian products to Austria in light of the EU regulation on the application of autonomous trade measures to Armenian goods.
