06.06.2017 • Austrian parliamentarians and heads of diplomatic corps visited Vienna‘s Mekhitarist Congregation

 The Armenian Embassy in Austria, in association with the Austrian «Society» magazin, organized the visit of members of the Austrian Parliament and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Vienna to the Monastery of Armenian Mechitarist Congregation. This visit  aimed at familiarization of Austrian politicians and public figures, as well as foreign diplomats on Armenian cultural heritage in Europe.

28.04.2017 • An event in Vienna dedicated to the 25th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relations between Armenia and Austria

  On April 28 the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Austria in Porgy & Bess jazz club of Vienna organized a jazz concert titled "The Armenian Spirit“, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishming the diplomatic relations between Armenia and Austria organized ", whereas Karen Asatryan‘s jazz ensemble performed its jazz interpetations of the Armenian classical, folk and spiritual music.

01.03.2017 • Presentation on Armenian Foreign Policy at the Austrian Parliament

On 1st of March, 2017, a presentation titled "Armenia's unique path: Challenges and Opportunities" by Hon. Mr. Tevan Poghosyan, Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, took place at the Austrian Parliament. It was co-organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Vienna together with the "Austria Institute for European and Security Policy" (AIES).

20.02.2017 • Armenian Organic Food and Beverage Exhibition in Vienna

  On Monday, February 20, the Embassy of Armenia in Austria in association with the Austrian Development Agency organized the “Made in Armenia” organic food and beverages exhibition with participation of 10 Armenian organic food producing companies, which have received a huge support from the Austrian Development Agency and the the Fund for Rural Economic Development in Armenia” (FREDA). The Exhibition took place in the "Armenia" center of the Embassy of Armenia in Austria.

01.12.2016 • Ambassador Arman Kirakossian presented his credentials to the President of Croatia

  On December 1 Ambassador of Armenia to Croatia (with residence in Vienna) Dr. Arman Kirakossian presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Croatia Mrs. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović. Following the ceremony, the sides discussed prospects of development of the Armenian-Croatian relations.

VIENNA, 22 November 2016 – Today, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) celebrated its 50th anniversary by showcasing the achievements and results of UNIDO’s work in the field of upgrading and cultural and creative industries at an event entitled “Creativity Show: New stories of old traditions from Armenia and the Southern Mediterranean Cultural and creative industries and innovation towards a sustainable future” that was held at the UNIDO Headquarters, based in Vienna. 

09.11.2016 • From Ararat sar to Fuji san” Concert in Vienna

On November 9 the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Austria in association with the Embassy of Japan in Austria, organized in "Hayastan" center a concert, titled “From Ararat sar to Fuji san”, which took place within the framework of «Japan-Europe Ensemble Cultural Fusion Tour». The Ensemble led by Japanese violinist of Armenian origin Karen Israelyan presented its view of European and Armenian folk and classical music, accompanied by traditional Japanese instruments.

25.09.2016 • Events on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of Armenia's Independence in Vienna

  A number of festive events on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Armenia's Independence took place in Vienna. Festivities on this occasion have been launched with Holy Mass on September 20, delivered in St. Hripsime Armenian Apostolic Church. Pontifical delegate of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Central Europe and Scandinavia Master Tiran Petrosyan addressed attendees with patriarchal speech. Armenian Ambassador to Austria Dr. Arman Kirakossian, Armenian community attended the holy liturgy.

Today my country is permeated with joy and festivities stimulated by the very special occasion. 25 years ago the population of Armenia with overwhelming majority expressed through the nation-wide referendum its unequivocal support to the bright ideas of independence and sovereignty. The Republic of Armenia proclaimed the values and norms encompassed in the Declaration of Independence, adopted earlier, in August 1990.
